Costs and FAQ

  • What are your hourly rates?
My rate is $130 for a 50-minute therapy session. I reserve a certain amount of reduced-fee appointments as well, based on a sliding scale. I know cost is a significant factor when seeking help, and I am dedicated to making therapy accessible. Contact me to learn more.
  • Can I use insurance?
Currently, I am an in-network provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Blue Choice, United Healthcare PPO, and Cigna insurance plans. For other insurance plans, I can provide you documentation to submit to your insurance company for partial reimbursement as an out-of-network provider. Most insurance companies offer some type of reimbursement for mental health. I recommend calling your insurance company to ask about your specific plan benefits.
  • How many sessions will we have?
The length of our work together can vary, and is different for everyone. Weekly sessions are recommended in the beginning, though this frequency can change over time, based on progress and need. This will be an ongoing conversation we have in sessions, as progress may be defined in different ways by each client.
  • What if I need more than therapy? Do you prescribe medications?
I am dedicated to treating people, not just problems, and value your holistic wellness. As such, I am happy to provide referrals to additional providers and other resources. As a psychotherapist, prescribing any type of medication is not part of my training or scope. While it is important for us to discuss any medications you are taking or have taken in the past, as well as your general medical history, I do not manage this process for you.
